The Voodoo Lounge Session, 1993

RABAN

About the Series

In September 1993, British photographer Duncan Raban was granted private access to The Rolling Stones as they gathered at Ronnie Wood’s home in Kildare to work on what would become Voodoo Lounge — their twentieth British and twenty-second American studio album.

Over the course of a single day, Raban captured the Stones off guard, unposed, and in their element — a rare and intimate portrait of a band at a pivotal moment, shortly after the departure of founding bassist Bill Wyman.
